Campaign Update

Right now paramedics have a once in a generation opportunity to win Workplace Health & Safety changes that would force all employers to protect the psychological health of their workers.

On 5th August AEAV members will be lodging a critical submission that will be received by every single health and safety minister in the country.

The Andrews Government has introduced provisional acceptance payments for mental health injuries as well as committing to changes to industrial manslaughter. Now there is an opportunity to change the regulations to force employers to be proactive about mitigating the risks of:

  • Workload
  • Fatigue
  • Bullying
  • Occupational Violence
  • Stress
  • PTSD

You can join with your fellow paramedics in making this submission about why changes need to be made. Please attend one of the below sessions, or contact AEAV if you are unable to attend by would still like to be heard in the submission.

This opportunity is too important to be divided on.
