Delegates Roger Parker and Sharyne Doensen attended the ESTA Consultative Committee (UCC) on November 18th 2021.
The purpose of the UCC is to provide a process that supports positive and constructive consultation between the AEAV and ESTA. It’s also where AEAV members can raise workplace concerns and receive answers from ESTA representatives.
Items raised by AEAV members in the most recent UCC were:
- The ability for Ambulance Call-takers to disconnect from abusive callers
- Funding for ongoing Ertcomm ARO
- First Aiders (Team Leaders)
- Challenges accessing leave due to unvaccinated staff being off work
