Congratulations Paul Lease – Specialist Resource & Operational Equipment Coordinator, who stepped up to attend the third bargaining meeting on 20 May and spoke directly to AV about the union members claims. Member voices like Paul’s are essential in the bargaining process and show the power of collective advocacy.
The purpose of the third bargaining meeting was to:
- Review the claims matrix (a shared tracking document to record bargaining progress)
- Prioritise and clarify key union claims
- Hear AV’s preliminary responses
- Discuss pay progression and admin MOU entitlements
AV committed to providing suggested structures that could address members’ needs for a Top of Value Range Payment, recognition of service, skills and education.
Union officials would also like to thank leader members who have taken the initiative to reach other public sector EBAs, draft clauses, and contribute their ideas at union meetings. Your work strengthens the union’s position at the bargaining table.
We know EBAs can be complex, but they shape your working conditions, pay progression, and work-life balance for the next four years. That’s why the union will be holding regular meetings to keep you updated.
