GEAP Consultation Falls Short

Triple Zero Victoria’s Gender Equity Action Plan (GEAP) is due on 1 May 2026, yet the union has not been provided with a clear plan outlining how the organisation intends to improve gender equality over the next four years.

Consultation to date has been inadequate, with TZV providing limited data and no meaningful proposals for change. The union advised TZV to seek an extension to allow for proper consultation and, in good faith, provided a detailed document outlining practical steps to improve equity across the organisation.

Despite this, TZV declined to request an extension, citing concerns about scrutiny from the Commission. In response to the union’s proposal, the organisation has issued a consultation table.

The union has sought to understand whether TZV intends to undertake any further consultation and step unions through the final GEAP prior to submission.
